Subject: re: Need a little help identifying a song
I downloaded a song back in 2001 when looking for Tool songs and I love the song but it seems not to actually exist. I have a song name and know some lyrics but after 18 years of searching I can't find it again; or the CD I burned it to. So if you can help I would appreciate it. The song is called Dragging You Into The Light and the lyrics I recall are as follows; aztricts will be put where words are fuzzy:
"Devil, pushes me to the ground, watch me as I drown, laughing at my *distress. Slow, I feel them let me go, you do as you're told, letting them *Leed *you *on. And I feel . . ."
That's all I can recall so if this sounds familiar PLEASE let me know. It originally said by Green Jello but that was wrong

Subject: Need a little help identifying a song
Hey! I just heard a really good song from an old movie and was wondering what it was called. I tried searching for it on YouTube and Google using the words I could remember from it but found nothing. I believe it's a Spanish song and starts in G minor. Here's all I can say about the song's lyrics.

It starts something like this (at least this is what the lyrics sounded like when I heard them):
[b]SONG START - G MINOR[/b]
Bomboro iyakiya poroporo
Bomboro iyakiya poroporo
Bomboro iyakiya iyakiya iyakiya

Then it switches to G Major and here's what I could get from that portion:
It says something like "Me dijo baila, baila" and then, I heard "My luv, you are my luv"

Then the song loops back to G Minor and follows the same pattern up to "My, you are my luv"

Some other things to point out: In the G Minor part, before the singers say "Bomboro iyakiya" trumpets play in G Minor.

Please help me find this song! I really like it and want to listen to it but I don't know its name.

Thanks![/b]

How to insert music:

Add a bit of sheet music, along with a MIDI file, simply by entering note names in Lilypond syntax between the [L] and [/L] tags.
For example, you can try what happens if you enter: [l]g'4 g'4 d''4 d''4 e''4 e''4 d''2[/l] (use the Preview function if you don't actually want to post this).
You can create these lists of note names by clicking on piano keys here.

How to post an audio recording:

If you just want to sing, whistle, or play a melody so that other forum visitors can hear it, follow these steps:

  1. Record your audio here.
  2. You should notice a 32-character hash code, something like: 2a40281c5001c5a7d8c9f57fcdeccfaf
  3. copy this hash code and paste it into a forum post, enclosed in the audio tags, for example: [audio]2a40281c5001c5a7d8c9f57fcdeccfaf[/audio]

How to mark a thread as solved:

If the original question in a thread is solved, please mark it as solved using the "solved" icon (or by just typing [solved] into your post). This makes life easier for people who are willing to identify melodies, since unsolved problems are easier to spot that way. If a problem turns out to not be solved after all, just write [/solved] in a new post, and the thread will be labeled accordingly.
