Thank you very much! Using the "Choo'n gum" clue and searching the internet for the origins of that melody, I was able to learn that it was "La Sorella" by Charles Borel-Clerc from around 1907.

On the new CD "Dimension Mix" the track "I'm Bruce" has an instrumental song I first heard back in the 60's and maybe before, but the song is not identified on the CD jacket, and I'm hoping someone here can identify it. There is an mp3 of almost 7MB at:

It is not the first music you hear on the track, it starts about 30 seconds into it and runs for most of the track. Any help would be appreciated.

How to insert music:
Add a bit of sheet music, along with a MIDI file, simply by entering note names in Lilypond syntax between the [L] and [/L] tags.
For example, you can try what happens if you enter: [l]g'4 g'4 d''4 d''4 e''4 e''4 d''2[/l] (use the Preview function if you don't actually want to post this).
You can create these lists of note names by clicking on piano keys here.
