Hallo,

die Frage ist gelöst, es handelt sich um eine Passage aus dem Stück "Sea of Joy" von Blind Faith.

Gruß .. zyl

no clue what is going wrong for you. It seems to work for me. Can you just e-mail me your file, and I try it with that file?

Danke, Silbervogel!
Übrigens: Your English is excellent, I don't have any complaints so far, as concerns wording, grammar or orthography. So why not keep on practising?

Hello, thanks for your note! It made me think about the possibility of a Cajun melody, but though it sounds very similar to that, I guess it's not performed by a Cajun band.
What about your question, I'm a newbie in musipedia and can help you only partially. I got the mp3 file in the attachment section by just searching it in my explorer and opening it by doubleclick in the attachment field. But, the original size of it was too big, so I transcoded it from a 320 kbs file (size 2,45 MB) to a VBR 0/128 kbs file, with a size of 996 KB. I don't know the max. possible file size for uploading it in this forum.
Btw. if you are German, please tell me, I'm trying hard to write in a halfway correct English ;-)

Sorry, I cannot identify this nice Cajun-type tune. But I have a question, perhaps you can help: How can I include an mp3-file (or wav-file etc.) in the Attachment section of a thread?
Thanks in advance, and greetings from Bavaria.

Hi, I found this fragment of a track at the end of an old MC of mine, it sounds very familiar to me, but I've got no idea about the group's name nor the song name. I don't even know if it's the final part, or if it was outfaded, nor do I know if it's an Instrumental, or if it has lyrics in the beginning. Guess it's from the sixties ..

Can anybody help me? Kann mir jemand helfen?

How to insert music:

Add a bit of sheet music, along with a MIDI file, simply by entering note names in Lilypond syntax between the [L] and [/L] tags.
For example, you can try what happens if you enter: [l]g'4 g'4 d''4 d''4 e''4 e''4 d''2[/l] (use the Preview function if you don't actually want to post this).
You can create these lists of note names by clicking on piano keys here.

How to post an audio recording:

If you just want to sing, whistle, or play a melody so that other forum visitors can hear it, follow these steps:

  1. Record your audio here.
  2. You should notice a 32-character hash code, something like: 2a40281c5001c5a7d8c9f57fcdeccfaf
  3. copy this hash code and paste it into a forum post, enclosed in the audio tags, for example: [audio]2a40281c5001c5a7d8c9f57fcdeccfaf[/audio]

How to mark a thread as solved:

If the original question in a thread is solved, please mark it as solved using the "solved" icon (or by just typing [solved] into your post). This makes life easier for people who are willing to identify melodies, since unsolved problems are easier to spot that way. If a problem turns out to not be solved after all, just write [/solved] in a new post, and the thread will be labeled accordingly.
