Subject: Help to ID a mid-70s song (soft rock/ easy listening)

Hi all!

Need help to find a song,

well, I heard on the radio in midlles 70s. (by 1973-75, or 76- Oh memory) It's a great song so I record it on a tape, but I lost it months later.

As a try to find the song, a friend of mine made a sample on which he sings (by some solmization) the tune - and the only word we remembered of the lyrics; "goodbye" and another one ends or rhyme with "down" (get down??) - That's all we can remember. I'm not a native English speaker...

Can anybody help? Any hint just by the melody...

NOTE: For sure that unknown song is a kind of soft rock/ easy listening. There's a long guitar solo in fade out too...
I think it's a famous song, not a great hit, maybe a one that didn't chart... of a famous band/artist in early stage... idk

Add a bit of sheet music, along with a MIDI file, simply by entering note names in Lilypond syntax between the [L] and [/L] tags.
